What to Expect

Your First Sunday

A little of what a Sunday morning at Restoration City looks like.

Arriving

You will be greeted

Come a few minutes early if you can. Someone will meet you at the entrance, help you find a seat and answer any questions. There is no registration and no pressure.

Sunday School

Bible study for everyone

Sunday School is not only for children — it is for the whole church. We open the Scriptures together and study the Word before the Divine Service begins. If you can come for it, you are very welcome.

Worship

Praise, the Word and prayer

The Divine Service is praise and worship, the preaching of the Word and a time of prayer. It usually runs about two and a half hours.

Children

Your children are welcome

Children are part of the family here. They join us for Sunday School, and have their own gathering with age-appropriate Bible teaching while the Divine Service is going on.

Introductions

You will be asked to introduce yourself

During the service visitors are warmly invited to say their name and how they came to hear about the church. It is brief and friendly, never a test — and if you would rather not, that is completely fine. Just say so to whoever greets you.

Dress

Come as you are

There is no dress code. Most people dress modestly and comfortably. What matters to us is that you came.

Giving

You are our guest

An offering is received during the service. As a visitor you are under no obligation whatsoever — please feel free to simply worship with us.

Afterwards

Stay and say hello

We would love to meet you after the service. If you would like prayer or would like someone to follow up with you, just say so — or use the form below.

Before You Come

Questions we are often asked

If your question is not answered here, please call us or send a message — we would rather you asked.

Do I need to be a member to attend?

No. Every service is open to everyone. Membership at CRMI is a separate, considered step described in our constitution — visiting places no obligation on you.

What language are services in?

Services are conducted in English, with Krio used naturally throughout as our congregation speaks it.

Can I come to a midweek service first?

Absolutely. Many people find the Wednesday Bible Study or the Friday Deliverance and Family Service a comfortable first visit.

Will I be asked to stand up or speak?

Visitors are usually invited to introduce themselves during the service — your name, and how you came to hear about CRMI. It is short and friendly. If you would rather not speak, tell whoever greets you when you arrive and nobody will call on you.

Is Sunday School just for children?

No. Sunday School is for the whole church — a time of Bible study together before the Divine Service. Children take part too, and then have their own gathering during the Divine Service.

We’d Love to Meet You

Tell us you are coming

Let us know and we will look out for you on Sunday. It is entirely optional — you are just as welcome to arrive unannounced.
